Nothing, I say nothing at all its in our blood to be outside in below freezing weather , to strap on the skates and play a good 'ole game of pound hockey. Every winter the pounds are filled with potential NHL stars, living there dreams through a pair of skates a puck and a pond. Remeber as a child, walking down to the pond with a few of the boys, strapping on your skates, and being totally free. Your mind is at ease , the scents of winter are filling the air, and the only thing that stops you is the fact the pond has no night lights. Some are lucky enough to have a generator, and for them it never ends. Even when the ice is said to be thin, we still risk potential anomia, and frostbite , all to play the greatest game, in the great outdoors.The Pond is a wonderful thing in the summer we fish from it and swim in it , and in the winter we live on it.
